Cisco CCNP Collaboration: CLCOR

The instructor led Implementing Cisco Collaboration Core Technologies (CLCOR) course provides students with skills needed to implement and deploy core collaboration and networking technologies, including infrastructure and design, protocols, codecs, and endpoints, Cisco Internetwork Operating System (IOS®) XE gateway and media resources, call control, Quality of Service (QoS), and additional Cisco collaboration applications.

This course prepares students for the Cisco CCNP Collaboration Core exam – CLCOR. This is the first part of the certification process and will be the first step taken before then choosing and taking a concentration course/exam.

Skills Learned

  • Compare the IP Phone signaling protocols of Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), H323, Media Gateway Control Protocol (MGCP), and Skinny Client Control Protocol (SCCP)

  • Describe the different codecs and how they are used to transform analog voice into digital streams

Who Should Attend This Course

This course prepares students for the Cisco CCNP Collaboration: CLCOR exam, which is a core exam. This exam, in tandem with any one of the Collaboration concentration exams, will earn students the CCNP Collaboration certification.

None, but we highly recommend that students have:

  • Completed the Cisco CCNA course and/or exam, or have equivalent experience
  • Basics of digital interfaces, Public Switched Telephone Networks (PSTNs), and Voice over IP (VoIP)
  • Fundamental knowledge of converged voice and data networks and Cisco Unified Communications Manager deployment
