Welcome to “The Disc Model” video lesson created to help the learner connect the DISC model and its elements to increased emotional intelligence. In this lesson, the viewer is introduced to the DISC model, which describes behavior by placing people on a spectrum of four traits: D for dominance, I for influence, S for steadiness, and C for conscientiousness. In this framework there’s the assertive High-D, the people-oriented High-I, the consistent High-S, and the analytical High-C. Ultimately, upon viewing this lesson, the learner will have a basic understanding of how to determine and communicate with different DISC styles. This lesson is the fourth of four in the “Emotional Intelligence Crash Course” series, which outlines how to understand and apply emotional intelligence throughout the viewer’s life.
