Welcome to “Options for Your Employees,” a video lesson devoted to helping leaders understand how employees might address their mental health diagnosis at work. This lesson is the third of six in the “Expert Insights: Workplace Mental Health for Managers with Michael Wellington” video course created to shed light on how to support employees’ mental health in the workplace. Throughout this lesson, learners will consider employees’ two options when it comes to sharing their mental health condition: keep it to themselves or open up about it. Viewers will then learn why an employee might choose to share their history with mental illness, as well as what the employer can do to support employees living with mental health conditions. In addition, learners will examine some potential benefits they can offer to employees in an effort to promote strong mental health.
