Basic Computer Skills: Using an Internet Browser

Welcome to the “Using an Internet Browser” lesson intended to help learners understand how to use an internet browser. This lesson is the last of four in the “Basic Computer Skills” course, which helps employees improve their understanding of how to use a computer and provides the groundwork for greater independence when using a computer. In this lesson, viewers will learn what a browser is, some basic information about how to navigate within a browser, and the difference between a new window and new tab. After viewing, learners will be able to identify the address bar in their browser, add shortcuts and bookmarks to their home page, use a search engine, distinguish between tabs and windows, and recognize common symbols used by computer programs.
