“Culture of Civility: Creating a Harassment-Free Workplace (Connecticut)” is a course designed to help employees and supervisors recognize, prevent, and respond to workplace harassment. The course defines different types of harassment, explains bystander intervention options, and outlines the process for making harassment complaints. It also covers foundational concepts such as the reasonable person standard and federally protected characteristics. This course also helps supervisors understand how to recognize and respond to harassment, as well as how to behave appropriately and prevent harassment from occurring in the first place. By the end of the course, participants will have a clearer understanding of sexual harassment, abusive conduct, the expectations for maintaining a respectful workplace, and leadership responsibilities essential to maintaining a respectful and compliant workplace.
