Protecting Intellectual Property

Welcome to the “Protecting Intellectual Property” video lesson intended to help learners protect their organization’s intellectual property (IP) and avoid violating others’ IP rights. In this one-off lesson, viewers will become familiar with the four major types of IP that are protected by the law: copyrights, trademarks, patents, and trade secrets. In addition, learners will consider options for protecting their company’s IP, as well as tips for limiting their chances of violating others’ IP rights. Finally, viewers will learn about the consequences for IP infringement and the importance of following IP laws.
