Welcome to “Food Handling Safety,” a six-part course based on FDA Food Code guidance designed to equip food handlers with essential knowledge and skills to keep food safe, prevent contamination, and reduce the risk of foodborne illness. Professionals in food handling must follow important safety practices to prevent contamination and foodborne illnesses from occurring. Through these lessons, learners will explore key practices such as personal hygiene, cleaning and sanitizing, temperature control, and the safe handling of allergens and raw foods. Whether you're new to food service or refreshing your knowledge, this course provides practical, up-to-date guidance for maintaining a safe and compliant food environment. By the end of this experience, you’ll have what you need to apply food safety procedures confidently and help maintain a safe and healthy environment for food. This program is valid for 0.5 hour(s) of recertification credit through the HR Certification Institute (HRCI) and 0.5 PDU for the Project Management Institute (PMI).
